I have gotten a few questions concerning the world race so i thought that I would answer the most asked questions on here!

Lets get started 🙂

Where are you going?

Romania, Guatemala, and Ecuador

How long will you be gone?

9 Months

What made you decide to go on this mission trip?

I decided to go on the world race because it is what the Lord has led me to. I prayed about it and the Lord opened and closed doors that led me to to the race. I am also choosing the race because I want to grow and be pushed out of my comfort zone in my faith.

Whats your main goal during this mission trip?

To talk to strangers as often as possible and share the love of Jesus with everyone I meet.

What are you most excited about?

Being used by God in different ways, getting to see the Lord work in ways I have never experienced before, getting to meet and love all of the people on my team, meeting knew people, experiencing other cultures.

What type of work will you do?

Romania- Passing out bibles and eyeglasses.

Guatemala- Working with teens who are at risk of gang violence.

Ecuador- Working with special needs kids in hospitals.

Other possible mission work- working with sex trafficking victims, teaching english, painting, building, farming, HIV education.

Where will you be staying (homes, hotels)?

We will be staying in host homes, of teachers/preachers/everyday workers. They are fellow believers that have partnered with Adventure in Missions. Here we will be staying in rooms either on beds or in our tents. Some teams never use their tents and some teams have had to live in tents for months at a time.

How many people are you traveling with?

My route actually has the smallest amount of teammates. We have about 21 people on our team and we will be split up into smaller groups called squads and those are the people we will be living with and doing most of our mission work with.

Where do you fly out of?

Atlanta, GA. The Adventure in Missions base is in georgia so that is where we have “launch” which is 4 days of sessions and worship with your parents before we leave.

What is in your pack?

I have a 65 liter backpack that hopefully wont be 50 pounds but inside of it I have all of the clothes I will need (4 shirts, 2 pants, 2 shorts, etc) sleeping pad, sleeping liner, tent, sleeping bag, shoes, toiletries.

What is something weird you know will become a normality in your life next year?

BUCKET SHOWERS… Ill take my first one at training in July.. I’ll let you know how it goes :/

What country are you most excited for?

Ecuador because it has a cool name, its really pretty, but really I am most excited for this country because we will be working with specials needs kids and I absolutely love getting to be around special needs kids. ( shoutout to my girl maci may, i love you)
