Why the world race?

I have been avoiding writing this blog for weeks now. 18 years old, just graduated high school and now im leaving the country for 9 months… why? I've given this question a lot of thought and all that has come to mind is that it's  just what I am supposed to do. He has opened and shut a lot of doors in my life and it led me to here. He has made it very clear that this is where I am supposed to go over the next nine months of my life. I have a deep desire to Go and to grow in my faith, to do things that are uncomfortable, meet new people, try new things, all while bringing the love of Jesus to people who have never experienced it. I want people to see that He is real, and active and loving and that they can have a relationship with Him. I want to meet people where they  are, meet them in the midst of their struggling and let them know that even though they struggle today that they can have an eternity of joy and love through a relationship with our father. I want a deeper connection with the Lord. One where i'm not so distracted by the business of life in America. The Lord has given me the opportunity to do all of these things in His name through this organization, and that Is why I chose the world race gap year.
